Dhaka University C Unit Admission Tests To Be Held Again

University of Dhaka in an unusual situation, they had to decide holding 'C' Unit admission tests again amid controversy over test papers at the original examination. The University Vice-chancellor A A M S Arefin Siddique had told on a press release on Saturday night that the authority of Dhaka university had cancelled the results of the first test of ga unit admission process.

"The results will be revaluated after examinees requested, that time some mistakes were found in the question papers as well as more introducually," he also said. "We took this decision when more requests came flooding in." The decision was taken at a late-night meeting of the university deans' committee. On Nov 2, the university announced that the results published on Oct 31 had been revaluated and 194 candidates in the first 1,000 had been replaced.




The Admission test of C Unit was held on Oct 28 2011, in which about 37,480 students took part at that admission for 980 seats in the university's Faculty of Business Studies, in C unit. The vice-chancellor said the examinees would be able to sit for the retake exams with their old admit cards.

Those who have lost the admit cards would be able to reprint them from the university website www.du.ac.bd, he added.
